Every collector has a “before” story.

For Battle of the Coast, ours started with Bentley, a kid from Kuantan who spent his childhood chasing rare Pokémon cards, battling in tournaments, and trading with friends during the golden Wizards era.

Then life happened. Football, exams, friends, and maybe a few girls who became more interesting than a shiny Charizard. Eventually, his cards were packed into a biscuit tin and put away.

More than 20 years later, in early 2026, that collection came back to life.

Kept safe by his mum all those years, opening that old biscuit tin felt like opening a time capsule. The vintage cards, familiar artwork, and memories of childhood battles reminded Bentley that the passion had never really disappeared. It was simply waiting to return.

What started as nostalgia soon became a new journey — reconnecting with old friends, meeting fellow collectors, discovering vintage treasures, and sharing the stories behind the cards.

After enough “bro, you should do something with this” conversations, Battle of the Coast was born.

A place built by collectors, for collectors — where old memories return, new friendships begin, and every card has a story.
